In 2024, the Brut de Fût range from bottler Ferroni is enriched by three new references.
One of these is an Australian molasses rum. Distilled in 2013 in a pot still, it was aged in two stages for a total of 11 years:
An initial three years of tropical aging in American oak barrels. With this maturation, the rum is subjected to high heat, humidity and very few temperature variations.
A second Mediterranean ageing, with hot, dry summers and cold winters. This ageing accelerates maturation in the same way as 100% tropical ageing, but with a higher proportion of angels. For this phase, the cellar master used ex-muscat du Beaumes-de-Venise French oak barrels for 3 years, then vintage Cognac barrels for the last 4 years.
This rum is not reduced before bottling.
