Hampden Estate 46% is a rum with a strong taste, aged 7 years. It has aged in the tropical climate of the Jamaican island,which is equivalent to an aging of around 25 years in Europe.
The Hampden Distillery produces high ester rums using knowledge passed down from generation to fermentation for over a century. Hampden makes a variety of rums ranging from 50 to 1600 esters. The higher the ester range, the more intense the rum bouquet. Their rums are used in blending other rums from around the world.
