Cadenhead selected this 13-year-old single malt whisky from the second distillery in Scotland to obtain its distilling license in 1824 - Fettercairn.
Cadenhead Fettercairn 13 ans is aged in 80% ex-Bourbon casks. The remaining 20% is matured in ex-Port Ruby casks.
The result is a whisky with a complex aromatic profile. These soon evolve into caramel and English candy. The palate is rich. First crunchy cereals, then more vegetal flavors reminiscent of green tomatoes appear, before greediness takes over the palate.
