The El Ron Prohibido Reserva 22 year old was launched in 2019. Storage took place in American white oak casks, some of which were blended with pecans, peaches and almond shells and treated with guarapo (sugar cane juice).
The result was a ron with aromas of vanilla, tropical fruit and nuts. Peaches, caramel and spices such as cinnamon and cloves are particularly prominent.
 
Aroma: Intense sweetness with tropical fruit, vanilla, caramel and sugar cane syrup. With cocoa, almonds and cinnamon.
 
Taste: velvety smooth on the tongue. Sweet dried fruit, vanilla and spices. There are also notes of cocoa and dark mint chocolate.
 
Finish: Long and spicy, sweet. With fruit, spice and tobacco.
