The Springbank distillery is one of the most traditional distilleries in Scotland, located in the Campbeltown region. The Springbank 15 year old matures first in sherry casks and then in bourbon casks. This process gives the whisky an intense flavour.
Flavours
This single malt is a peaty and smoky whisky, which can already be recognised on the nose. The flavour is somewhat softer with aromas of dark chocolate and peat, accompanied by a slight spiciness. The finish is long and lingering with peppery notes at the back but not too overpowering. A strong single malt for experienced connoisseurs.
